Happily Homeschooling
I haven't done the Blog Cruise in recent weeks, and I've missed it :\ I enjoy answering the questions and reading the responses from other members.

This week's question is "If you didn't homeschool, what would you DREAM of doing?"

It's funny, this is not an easy question for me to answer. I have a few thoughts, but nothing I would imagine doing...mostly because I can't imagine NOT homeschooling. My kids are so important to me and I 100% believe that The Lord has homeschooling in His plan for my life. Although I am an RN, that is just a side note to my being a mom and wife: which is the way it's supposed to, right?

So to answer this question, I'm going to kind of look at it from the point of view that when my kids grow up and I no longer homeschool, what would I dream of. In that regard, I might go back to school to get my Nurse Practitioner or Medical School. But I hesitate to make any decision on that, since I don't really know what I want to do when I grow up, lol. I've also thought about becoming a Vet, since I love animals. But then, maybe a marriage/family christian counselor...you see, this is why I don't know what to be when I grow up :)

Really, though, I place my life in The Lord's hands and know that He has a plan for me and wherever He needs me to go, I want to go.

So now thinking about what I would do when I'm not homeschoooling. I would enjoy travelling around. There are so many beautiful places in this world. The Lord's creations are incredible and I would love to see them all. But I would also love to take my kids with us.

I think part of the issue here is that homeschooling has become such a huge part of who I am that I can't imagine myself without it. Not yet anyways. My DS will graduate in a few years and then we shall see. It's not about money or fame, or anything like that. None of that really intrigues me, well maybe a little, lol.

So what about you, what would you dream of doing if you didn't homeschool? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Isn't it amazing how God leads us to fall in love with homeschooling? So much that we can't imagine our lives without it. Sometimes I can't imagine my life before it - if that makes any sense. What a blessing to have such a HUGE job. Thanks for sharing. I'm sailing by on the Blog Cruise and now I'm a follower!
God Bless,

I agree. I just can't imagine not homeschooling and not having the kids with me all the time. I've been an empty nester...I didn't like it then, I can't imagine liking it in the future. So I don't even want to dream of that right now. :)

I thought for sure I was already a follower. Good thing I checked. I'm following now.

I agree ... life without homeschooling would be ... well, just plain WEIRD and UNNATURAL for sure. I'm glad that you shared your heart. Have fun this week!

I agree, it is so difficult to imagine not homeschooling, as well as so difficult to decide what to do after homeschooling. Not homeschooling seems so far off in the future, that I simply haven't been thinking about it until this Cruise topic came up!
